Rockaway – “In Bellows Falls, Vermont she would hire a Rockaway to take her the rest of the way to Walpole, where Joesph Singer would be waiting.

A Rockaway is a type of carriage. Here’s a pic.


Pelerine – “The bride also wore a mink pelerine.”

A pelerine is a women’s short cape made of either fur or cloth and comes to a long point in front.  Here’s a pic. So, what new words have you found?
